How and when did you first realize your calling for writing books? Can you tell us a bit about the books written by you so far? How long on average did it take you to complete a book?

I have been working as an English language Educator for over 5 years. In the initial days of my teaching, I came across pupils looking for one good English learning book which is knowledgeably perfect, simple at fundamentals, and easy to understand. This demand of students to have a functional, comprehensible English language book developed the concept of my first book Handbook of English Language. After which, I wrote Tense Simplified, a book for English language learning, primarily dealing with the concept of Tenses, in a simplified way! Two romance books too have been authored by me, Khwahish, a tale of love in Hindi; and Humsafar, a collection of stories of love and emotions in English language. My book Tense Simplified is awarded the Best Non-Fiction book by AIY Foundation and NE8X has awarded me as Author of The Year 2019 for Humsafar. I’ve worked as Assistant Professor of English too.

According to you which are the 5 books that everyone should read and who are your top 3 Authors and what impact did they have in your journey as a writer?

I’ve read a lot, I aspire to read so more. I’d suggest people to read books on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi, books by Premchand, Sharatachandra, Tense Simplified and my books too. Also, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, Never Let Me Go by Kazuo, The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead, Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley are interesting books too.

What inspires you to write? Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

Life has been my biggest inspiration. Not just my life, I barely put my personal account in a fiction; but the life of everyone around, which I observe keenly. For the Academic books, the information is attained from academic records of the content. For the fiction books, the ideas are mixed with things observed and creativity and then put on paper.

What has been your most cherished experience as an author? Which is your best-preferred genre?

When my readers find themselves in my books, that’s the contentment I cherish the most. I am a versatile writer, I write of all genres.

When and how did you come up with the idea of empowering students through the English language? What is your take on women’s empowerment?

Students’ desire for a good, easy and comprehendible English language book brought up the thought of bringing  Handbook of English language and Tense Simplified. I assume, knowledge empowers people; and so does a good and efficient book. I have supplied my Book Tense Simplified to various School Libraries for free, so that male and female students can learn this inevitable, powerful language easily and make their careers strong.

Could you share a few tips for budding Authors and aspiring writers?

Every book is a milestone in itself, don’t focus on the quantity of books you’ve authored, instead, focus on the quality of your every book.
Read a lot and then write a little. The more you read, the better you can write. For non-fiction books, study and research extensively over the content, and that too, carefully.

Are you working on anything at present that you would like to share with your readers? What are your future plans?

It is a secret, and something really interesting, for sure.

How can a writer keep the mental block or writer’s block away from his/her creativity?

Spend quality time with family and have conversations with people you trust and admire. It always sets your mind free of any mental block. A free and relaxed mind is certainly more creative and efficient.
