There was a lot of hustle and bustle on the busy streets of the city on that fateful evening. Meena had recently cleared her driving test and got her driving license . So she headed with her cousin Alina to the shopping mall to look for the best collections during the pre_ monsoon sale. Suddenly the sky was overcast with dark clouds and it began to rain heavily. Meena , was driving the car feeling a bit nervous , when a car being driven rashly from the opposite direction came and dashed on her car's dicky . Her car was damaged badly. Soon the owner of the other car got down and appologized . He was ready to pay the compensation too, but Meena was reluctant to accept it . She was extremely bothered about what her father would say. He was the man, who had motivated her and secretly helped her to learn driving. Infact she had planned to drive all the way to her village and bring her father to the city that weekend. Soon , she heard a familiar voice and realised that ,he was her batchmate Rahul.  He  said " Oh! Meena it was indeed a mistake on my end . I should have been more careful, anyways let me help you ", he got her car repaired at the nearby garage and a strong friendship grew between them. Alina was the sole witness to a blossoming love story and said " amidst the hustle and bustle in the city roads you did find your soulmate."  Meena was speechless for a while and blushed while Alina narrated the incident to her father , during the weekend.

Antara, watched her mother everyday, when she took her out for a walk. She was hardly able to walk on her own and needed support to walk even a couple of steps. Old _ age had paid a havoc with her health. The aches and pain had caged her beautiful smile. That evening, when Antara took her for a walk, she met her friend Jiya and stopped to chat with her. Suddenly , Antara's eyes fell on her mother. She was holding the hands of a toddler , who had managed to spill all the paints on her mother's sari. Yet , she was amused to see her mother smiling like a rainbow , after ages. As the toddler's nanny arrived to pick her up, Antara's mother held her hand tightly and kissed her. The missing colours had returned in her life amazingly. © Aditi Lahiry

I am a Woman of a substance I must strive my level best I have to create my identity best Lest everyone forgets me like a  grain of dust  I have to give myself the priority first   I may have to leave my home locked  Yet, I will try to shape my identity My potentials , I have to unlock I have the key to open myself I have dreams to fulfil , before I  return to my nest Thus , I will bury my hours of rest I will return home only after , I have  given my best Those ,who trust me we stay awake  constantly I will be inspired by them , shaping My Identity endlessly. © Aditi Lahiry

" Srija ,you can never ride the bike again as we had to ampute your left leg after the terrible bike accident." Srija smiled radiantly as she recalled the words of the surgeon who had operated her leg six years ago. She had a strange zeal to ride the bike and thus inspite of being an amputee, she never lost her focus and finally rode from Manali to Manikaran all by herself . She was an inspiration for many girls ,who gave up easily succumbing to physical and mental pressures. The radiant smile on her face displayed " The Moment of Triumph."
