Join Hands with Sharing Stories in identifying 20-25 books every child should read by the age of 15.

Most of us form an opinion even without having first hand information. Our opinion about various dimensions of human life (Values, Relationships, Career, Religion, Humanity, Social Status, Politics, Spirituality, Sexuality, etc ) are mostly influenced by what we hear and see from others point of view. What if there is a way in which each child gets first hand information of these dimensions of human life and form their own perception over things. This will help them be a better human and take unbiased and informed decisions in life.
Adolescence is a character-defining age. In many countries, the social stigma prevents parents to have an open discussion with their child over topics like sex education, relationships, puberty, etc. So, these books can help the child to seek for the right answers at the right age.
Our structured school and college education prepares us for a good career. However, we miss out on important elements of life like humanity, empathy, religion, etc. which also have important significance in our life.

Suggest us some books which you think every child should read before the age of 15 (mostly the character defining age).
Please try and suggest books which cover most dimensions of human life as listed above.

We shall run this campaign and identify 20-25 books based on the suggestions received.
We shall make these books available at Sharing Stories Book Library in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India for free of cost for kids to read.
We shall try and replicate this initiative across all the schools, colleges and libraries across the globe.
