Book Title : Made for Each Other

chance to know about all the important people who have played a part in this Author Journey of yours. The most important person I am grateful to is my 7-year-old daughter, who sees my work as ‘work’ and makes sure that when I am working no one disturbs me. Sometimes, she would stand at the door and allow no one to enter inside the room when I am writing a blogpost or conducting a webinar. Besides her, my whole family has always been supportive.

“Sometimes, we do not get a chance to thank each one who has helped us in our Journey.”  Let the readers get a chance to know about all the important people who have played a part in this Author Journey of yours.

Certainly, I’m elated to let my readers know more about me and the important people who have played a major role in the Author Journey of mine. My mother has played a major role in making me what I’m today. My wife’s incessant support is a great motivation for me.

When and how did the idea of authoring  books come to you? Can you tell a bit about the books you have written and share a few lines from any of them?

The burden of bearing cluttered thoughts and experiences for a long time brought me the idea of authoring books. And I began to pen down when I realized that the stories I have in store with me can change the world like never before. Therefore I began to declutter my mind through pen.

Making the world beautiful is the ultimate aim of an author. The world will never be beautiful without truth. I have authored 3 novels, viz. ’The Limit of Truth’, ‘Made For Each Other’ and The Blueprint’. ‘Learning is Truth, Nothing else Is.’-is a quote from ‘The Blueprint’.

Are your books inspired by real life characters or incidents? How much time do you spend on researching while writing a book?

My books are inspired by real life characters to a larger extent. I don’t spend time on researching while writing. Well, I admit I had been researching for long five years fondling the idea of being an author one day.

I just travel down the memory lane of real life characters who are already imprinted on my mind indelible. But I don’t hesitate to add some fictional flavour into it wherever it is inevitable.

Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with your readers about?

Well, very rare books have inspired me. One among them is Animal Farm. My next novel is something of that genre. It could be a complete analogy like Animal Farm.

According to you which are the 5 books everyone should read and also who are your top 3 Authors?

5 books everyone should read are:

∆Animal Farm

∆The Prophet

∆The Miracle Worker

∆The Life of Mahatma Gandhi

∆The Mouse Trap

My top 3 authors are:

∆Kahlil Gibran

∆George Orwell

∆Vikram Seth

Tell us a bit about your family, likes and dislikes as a person.

My wife is a teacher and we have twin sons. I like truth of all sorts and hate lies and hypocrisy. I keep hypocrisy above all sins. Hypocrisy is the origin of all sins, I believe.

Could you share few tips for Young Authors?

You need to dare to tell the world your stories no matter how raw it seems provided it holds the magic to make the world more beautiful. You can be fictitious enough to charm your readers but should not be at the stake of Truth.

What was the most difficult part of publishing process for you? How can a budding author reach out to more readers using marketing strategies?

Finding the right publisher was the most difficult part of my publishing process. A right publisher will cover up the whole scope of a budding author and help his works reach out to more readers with better marketing strategies.

At Sharing Stories, we have an ongoing campaign ‘Empowering Our Kids’ where we are trying to encourage and inculcate reading habit from a young age. We are trying to pick up 20 to 30 must read books for children and try and make them available at our library in Jaipur, also take this initiative across the globe. Please suggest some books which you think every child should read before the age of 15 (mostly the character defining age).
