“Why didn’t you win Mumbai Marathon?” Have you ever faced this question from your relatives, colleagues, or boss? If yes, then I am with you. If no, then it will happen soon. Running to me is mediation in motion, distance running is one of the most popular and growing sports globally. I strongly believe that every runner has a story. I am a runner, who observes and relates the daily happenings in and around the beautiful sports of running. We all train so hard, if your training is laced with laughter and smile, it adds an extra josh. Have you ever traversed the 42.195 kms of Mumbai Marathon into a route map synonym to Mumbai with a description of each km or have you thought about how will the dialogues of iconic film Sholay interrelate to marathon running or have you thought about what would be going on in the mind of various people when you run a marathon. BHAGH as the title of the book is the collection of Bijay’s Hilarious Anecdotes, Gags and Humour. With the advent of Social Media, running became much more popular and hence a humour writer like me could put in my creative hat to unleash a few of the observations. Lt Cdr Bijay Nair is an Ex Indian Naval Officer, a war veteran and currently working with a National Body in a Senior Strategy role. He is the author of the best-selling book #TheyInspire published by The Write Place from Crosswords. His second book B.H.A.G.H got released in Nov 2020 to a good opening. He is part of an anthology called “Locked in Tales” which is a 30 Author work and the same was released during the lockdown in Jul 2020. His fourth book is again an anthology wherein two of his poems got published “The Bench- the Karma Returns” and “Window- Welcome home Wg cdr Abhinandan” in the book “Dare to Earn”. His story got published in an anthology “Changed Forever” He is an avid reader, blogger, motivational speaker, storyteller, anchor, humorist, and ultra-marathoner. He is a contributor to various technical and non-technical magazines. He is the Co-Founder of DidYouReadToday and DidYouWriteToday Facebook group for book lovers and writers. It was found in the year 2017 and has 6000 members. When not busy with his office work, he is a doting son, husband, and father. He loves socializing and believes in guiding youngsters to join Armed Forces as a Motto.
